1. Greet students
2. Introduce two new friends Nemo and Dory
Ⅱ. Presentation
Show students new words and phrases.
Call attention to the pictures. Ask students to use the past tense to describe What Dory did last weekend. For example, played the guitar.
2. Ask students to read the phrases together one by one.
3. Memory challenge.
Ask students to remember the phrases in two minutes and then give them a test about the pronunciation and spellings of the phrases.
4. Work on 1a.
Ask students to match the phrases with the pictures.
Check the answers:1d ,2 c ,3 f ,4 e ,5a ,6 b.
III. Listening

Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.
Play the recording again. Students listen and check their answers.
Listen again and fill in the blanks.
Ask students to read the tapescript.
IV. Discussion
Show some pictures and ask what they did during the weekend.
Think how their weekend was? Is it healthy?
V. Group work
Make a interview about your friend’s weekend. The students may ask questions like this: How was your weekend?/ What did you do on Saturday morning?... Then invite two students to give a report.
