The analysis of teaching material
The reading material is taken from NSEFC Module 2 Unit3. This unit focuses on the development of computers. In learning about language, words and expressions in this unit will be reviewed . Moreover, the present perfect passive voice will be introduced.
The analysis of learning condition
The Ss are from Grade 1 in key Senior High School. They have achieved certain ability in language study and grammar study. Besides, they have learned certain ways to memorize words and grammar rules
However, Ss may not be able to learn these words and expressions even grammar in the context. What’s more, it is very difficult for them to use these new words and grammar in their English speaking and writing. As a teacher, we should teach these new ways of learning words and grammar.
Learning objectives
Based on the analysis of the teaching ideology, the teaching material and the learning condition, the following objectives are set:
Language knowledge
By the end of the class, the Ss will be able to
Grasp some useful words and expressions about computer, such as artificial, technology, intelligent, revolution, simplify, solve, explore
Master the usage of present perfect passive voice
Use present perfect passive voice to write a poem
Language skills
By the end of the class, my Ss will be able to
Improve their listening and speaking skills through group discussion.
Improve their writing skills
Emotional ability
By the end of the class, my Ss will be able to
Love our languages and use them.
Learning strategies
Ss will improve their communicative skills such as using evidence to support their views through discussion .
Ss will learn to solve the problem individually and accomplish the task cooperatively.
