Step 1 Lead-in

Greet the students and have the students welcome Zhou Haozhe and Zhan Kaixiang’s talent show.

After the show ,ask the other students,“What do you think of the show? Who are they? What can they do? What else can androids do?”

Play a guessing game. Divide the whole class into seven groups and have a competition.

设计意图:首先学生自己准备的机器人秀既可以帮助我引出今天学习的话题,同时又可以有展示自己的机会,调动学生们参与课堂的积极性。再之后的比赛猜“机器人可以做什么”可以让学生在玩的同时对机器人有更多的了解。而小组比赛的形式可以更好地激发学生对课堂参与的兴趣。

Step 2 Reading

Show the students two pictures in which some android football players are playing football and go on asking “What can they do?” to lead to Andy –the Android.

Scanning .Give the students four minutes to let them read the passage and answer the questions and then continue the match.
