Teaching Procedures
1. Warming up – an English song: Heal the world
2. Leading –in
The Ss watch a short video so that the teacher can lead in to the topic of this unit.
3. Listening to the whole text and try to understand some new words and expressions according to the context
4. Check the understanding of some key words and expressions: (1) match the words and expressions with their English meanings. (2) show some pictures to strengthen the understanding.
5. Present a short passage to fill in the blanks in order to strengthen the use of the key words and expressions.
6. Read, choose and make sentences: choose at least 3 words and expressions from the box to make, sentences by themselves.
7. Choose the best answer to complete some sentences, making them correct in both grammar and meaning.
8. A task activity: (1) Work in groups to write a short story or a passage, using a least 5 words and expressions included in the box.
(2) Select 2-3 students to share their compositions
9. Homework
(1) Surf the Internet to learn more about wildlife protection.
(2) Finish Ex1 and 2 on Page 28
