Teaching difficult points

have to 的用法(它与其他情态动词不同,can与must 的否定或疑问句式不用借助助动词,而have to 需要借助助动词。)

Teaching steps

Step1 Leading-in (5minutes)

Greet the students as usual. Then, begin the new class. Practice speaking English. Ask students some questions about school rules to review the sentences in the first class. Then, ask some pairs to read 2d.

Step2 Group work (8minutes)

Read the sentences in Grammar Focus carefully, discuss in groups and try to answer the questions.

3. 情态动词在用法上有什么共同点?

4. have to 在句法上与其他情态动词有何区别?

Let students watch a small class to study the imperative sentences.

Step4 3a学以致用(Look and write)(5minutes)

Show some pictures to students and ask them to write the rules for the school library. Then share their rules with their classmates.

Step5 Pair work (3b) (5minutes)

Please use the words and pictures to make questions and act it out one by one. Give students several minutes to prepare for it and then ask some pairs to act it out.

Step6 Group work (3c) (10minutes)

Step7 Summary (5minutes)
