Class 9 is a key class in Senior Grade One. Some students in this class do poor in English but in other subjects, However, they show positive attitudes towards learning English.

In the first semester,?the average score of the end-of-term?English?examination was 42.6. The highest?score was 81 points,?and?only one student got the score of more than 80. The lowest?score was 9. There were six students who got the scores from 65 to 81. There were eight students who got the scores from 50 to 64. There were eight students who got the scores from 40 to 50.

In their daily life, some are shy to open their mouths to speak English. Therefore, after reading the story, they have a lot of difficulty to speak out or answer questions according to the passage. But anyway, we have to push them to move, so, in this period, they are made to speak o lot more in the class. In this way, they can develop their interests in Oral English and make full preparations for the College Entrance Examination.
