Teaching procedure

Step1:Leading in

Show the Ss some sentences.There is an underlined part in each sentence.Ask the Ss what part the underlined part serves as in each sentence.Then read and translate some sentences in ReadingP25-26 in Book 3.Then ask them what is Subject Clause.

Step2:Define Subject Clause.Explain to the Ss what is Subject Clause using some examples.

Ask the Ss to read them one by one and try to understand them.

Step3:Teach the Ss three important points about using Subject Clause.Explain them one by one using two sentences.

Steo4;Teach the Ss the connective words in Subject Clause.

2.whether

3.who whom whose what which whoever whatever whichever when where how why

Explain the usage of each connective.At the same time,show the Ss some examples.Then do some exercisesabout them.”Use the words below to fill in the blanks.”

Step5:Tell the difference between “what” and “that”in Subject Clause.Give the Ss some examples ,then do some exercises to practice it.

Step6;Tell the Ss the important usage ----how to use “it” instead of subject clause.Then show them some set sentences.At last,do some “True or Faulse”exercises.

Step7:Analyse some common errors in using Subject Clause.Give some wrong sentences and let the Ss try to correct them.

Step8:Summary the content of this class

Step9:Assign homework of today.
