The students have learned English for half a year in senior high school; they have acquired something English skills such as skimming and scanning. Besides, with the improving of the living standard and the access to Internet, more students have knowledge of Canada. In addition, they are all teenagers, they are curious about cultures of other countries. Therefore, they will be interested in this passage and take an active in reading

To find out the two places they visited in Toronto and what they saw in these two

places.

2. Students should find out the details which support the idea that Montreal

is a French city and be aware of the features of Old Montreal city.
