Analysis of the teaching materials (教材分析)

Using language in the text book is to help the students to practice reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. In fact, it is a little difficult for the students to finish all the learning tasks in 40 minutes, so it is necessary for the teachers to make the learning easier and more interesting. Using just 3 pictures instead of 6 in the listening part and asking the students to finish part of writing is a good way to simplify the teaching materials, which will make the students more interested and confident.

Analysis of the students

Through the previous learning and certain practice in reading, speaking and acting, the students have mastered a certain knowledge of body language. It is quite easy for them to follow the teacher’s instructions to learn about some universal body language in this class

Students will be more interested in body language when in the real situation, meanwhile they are willing to share their own feelings with others. The enjoyable showing and easy writing activity will help them master the words and expressions and build confidence.

This class does not only focus on developing language knowledge and skills, but also focus on using body language correctly and taking care of others in the daily life.
