To lead in the subject of great scientists.
T: Good morning, everybody! Today we are to read a text about a famous scientist. But first I have a question to ask you: what is a scientist?
A scientist is a person who works in science, try to understand how the universe and other things work. Scientists can work in different areas of science. Here are some examples: those who study physics are physicists. Those who study chemistry are chemists. Those who study biology are biologists.
Step II Warming-up.
T: You know our life is closely related to science and scientists. We benefit a lot from them. So we should know about and learn from them. Now let’s do the quiz on page 1 and find out who knows the most about great scientists.
