1、教学内容分析: 本节课是这一单元的第三课时using, warming up,pre-reading主要讨论了国内外的伟大科学家及其伟大成就,reading部分讲述了伟大医生约翰思诺战胜霍王。本节课的using是前两节课的延伸和扩展,起到承上启下的作用,引出了本单元重点:说服性文章的写作。
2、学生情况分析: 高中二年级学生,经过高一一年的学习,学生已经具备基本的英语获取信息,处理信息,分析问题和解决问题的能力。但是由于学生词汇量不足导致学生们在表达上存在问题,因此在阅读时应进行词汇铺垫,扫清阅读障碍。高二学生已经掌握了基本的写作技能,但在文章中对高级词汇和高级句型的使用仍需加强。

1、教学重点:理解课文内容。通过阅读了解掌握词汇,句型,并应用到写作中去。
2、教学难点:如何激发学生兴趣使其积极主动的参与课堂过程。如何提高其写作能力。
