4. The teaching procedure
Step 1: Lead-in
(transition words: Good afternoon, boys and girls. This class, we’ll continue to learn Unit 3 Life in the future. But at the beginning of this class, I’d like to know: have you ever watched the TV serial Gong《宫》? ( Students’ response: Yes) Since you are very familiar with it, here are some questions for you: who is the main character? (Luo Qingchuan洛晴川). What happened to her? (She made a time travel to the past--Qing dynasty). Now, imagine, if you are having English class, a strange phenomenon happens: the seven planets in the sky are in a straight line（七星连珠）and you are pulled into a time tunnel. Then, you’ll find yourself come to a new world---the 31st century. Guess what will you see in the 31st century or what changes will happen in the 31st century.)
