The analysis of teaching materials
In this period , students will learn I have seen the amazing things, which is about a visit and three modern inventions of the 31st century on the space station . This passage is mainly made up of two parts and the second part is the main body which presents different writing strategies in describing the inventions . Writing strategies are very important for students , so in this section we will focus on reading the main body and learning the writing strategies .
Teaching objectives
According to the analysis above and the new standard curriculum, the teaching objectives are as follows. At the end of this class, students will be able to
1. have a good understanding of the modern inventions introduced in the text.
2. identify the writing strategies used in the description of the three inventions.
3. use the same strategies as are employed in the text to describe other modern products.
4. cooperate well and try every effort to create a better future using their imagination and creativity.
Teaching important and difficult points
Students can write a paragraph in groups introducing any modern invention they like using at least one strategy learnt in this section.

Step1. Lead-in
Show a short video about something happening in 2035 and students guess the topic to be learnt today ---- amazing things.
Purpose: To get all the Ss engaged and make clear the topic of this lesson.

Step2. Fast reading and analyzing the structure
Students read the first paragraph and get the main idea --- an introduction
