Teaching procedure
Step?1:Warming up
T: have you ever imagined the life in the future? Maybe the cars can fly in the sky, and you can acquire knowledge just by eating some bread and you don’t need to do you homework all day long.
T: To know better about life in the future, we can start from life in the past.
(show the students four aspects about life in the past: transportation, house, communication and education. And describe them.)
T: Now how about life at present.
(show them the fours aspects and ask students to describe them.)
T: what will life be in the future? Will it become better or get worse?
(3mins debate and ask students to present their ideas)

T: Now please open your books and turn to page 17. Let’s read the passage First Impressions. Read it quickly and then tell me what it is about. several minutes later.
