2学情分析
Most of the students do not do well in the reading comprehending in the limited time. And some of them are even not familiar with the related words and expressions as well as the lack of reading strategies.
3重点难点
1. The important point is to get the young to learn different reading skills.
2. The difficult point is to develop the teenagers’reading ability, especially the ability of understanding the meaning of the sentences with the help of the logical realtion words.

Explore the meanings of the following underlined words.
1. The wall declined a little on account of the earthquake.
2. A new farming technique having been worked out, the yeilds as a whole increased by 20 percent.
3. They’re surcharged us 10% on the price of the holiday because of a rise in plane tickets.
4. His story about being attached on the way home was hardly credible. He didn’t have a mark on him.
5. His business would be lucrative if he followed his father’s advice.
6. I feel a bit tired. However, I can hold on.
7. The child is always on the periphery, never in the center; the wishes of the parents come first.
8. There was no news. Nevertheless, we went on hoping.
9. Many children’s psychologists think that parents should play with their children more often and give them problems to think about. The children are then more likely to grow up bright and intelligent. If children are left alone with nothing to do, they are likely to become dull and unintelligent.
4.1.3 Step 3 Exercising
Extension exercises--Finish the reading comprehension in limited time. Then students work in groups to show their answers in their own words.
4.1.4 Step 4 Presentation
According to the passage, guide the students to work in groups to design the instructions on how the Lampbrella works. Then ask some of them to make a presentation on it.
