Not only am I interested in photography, but I took a course at university, so it’s actually of special interest to me.

Warming UpStep 1: Ask Ss to recall the festivals that they just enjoyed, discuss when they usually take place, what they celebrate and what people do at that time with their partner and then fill in the table in Warming Up.

Step 2: Ask two groups to report on their result in complete sentences.Discuss with their partner, and write down their discussion results in the table in Warming Up.

Pre-reading Step 3: Explain several difficult words in the reading text: celebrate (using a picture of celebration and a sentence: People are celebrating the New Year.), honour (using English translation: to show great respect for someone or something), religious (explaining: having relationship with religion).

Step 4:Ask Ss to look at the pictures and the title of the passage, and then predict what the passage is going to talk about. Then ask Ss to exchange ideas with their partners.Look at the picture and the sentences, and try to understand the meanings of some difficult words.
