(1) Who are talking in the video? Ma Yun and a journalist
(2) What is the journalist doing?
The journalist is interviewing MaYun. In other words, the journalist is covering a story. So the phrase “cover a story” means that a journalist interviews sb. or reports on an important event. If the journalist gets a story ahead of other newspapers, we can say she gets a scoop.
