对于三级达标校大部分的高二理科生来说,英语是他们相对薄弱的科目,加上基础不扎实,自然对英语学习的兴趣也就不高。而且他们在英语学习中还存在着这样的误区:每个新单元就是死记硬背新单词和语法,枯燥无味。学习方法上:做阅读理解用口读或心读的不好习惯等等。所以理科英语老师应该时刻记着帮助学生:有兴趣读英语,有方法学英语。
二.教学思路
1. Warming up: 不采用课本设计好的Warming up。因为journalist, editor, photographer 这些职业对于我们学校的学生水平来说,直接用中文解释比用英语解释更直接也更容易理解。可采用情景设计法,让学生用Brainstorming and discussing法,进行一个简单的interview.但是为了让不敢开口的学生开口说英语,激发兴趣,就先让学生扮演journalist 而我扮演interviewee 这样相对简单些,他们的积极性也就高了,乐于参与,锻炼了思维能力;接下来我扮演journalist他们扮演interviewee,由易入难,自然地锻炼了学生的表达能力。
2.Pre-reading: 通过team work 和 discussion 来让学生用英语表达出一位优秀的记者应具备的品质和素养,培养他们的cooperative learning 的能力。
3.Reading: 通过3个活动来锻炼学生使用重要的阅读技巧,提高阅读能力
Fast-reading: Skimming: What’s the main idea of this passage?
Detailed-reading: Scanning: 1). Think and choose the correct answers 2). Fill in the blanks
Post-reading: Enjoy a clip of video about a good journalist----Rui Chenggang and see how to become a good journalist and how to make a good interview.
4. Homework: 根据post-reading 中所欣赏的记者芮成钢的短片及本节课所学的内容,与同桌做个2-3分钟的角色扮演采访。
三.教学目标
知识目标
Get students to know the meaning of the useful new words and expressions in this part
Have students read the passage and know about Zhou Yang’s first work assignment.
2. 能力目标
1). Enable students to talk about the qualities needed to be a good journalist and how to make a good interview.
2). Develop students’ reading ability and let them practice useful reading skills.
3. 情感目标
1). Stimulate students’ interest in learning the good qualities of the good journalists.
2). Develop students’ sense of cooperative learning and individual learning.

1. Tell students: Suppose all of you are journalists and I am an English teacher and the one who you want to interview. Now prepare and discuss the questions you want to ask in your groups.
2. Ask the team leaders to stand up to show their questions.
