Step I Revision and Lead-in

※Show Picture 1 about burns: to help remember the detailed information related to burns;

※Show Picture 2 about bleeding: to lead in the topic that bleeding is also an urgent injury in our daily life.

Step Ⅱ Reading and Understanding

The study of paragraph 1: Aimed at developing students’ ability to find the basic information in a news report.

Use the question while reading a news report what will you read first to help students know the importance of the 1st paragraph. And show them the task for them to fulfill.

The study of paragraph 3&4: Aimed at developing the skill of guessing and checking while reading.

※Use the question how could a boy aged 17 save his neighbor to lead in the exercise.

※Help students read and remember what happened that day but they are disordered.
