一、教学内容分析
As to warming up,the teacher can get students to sing a song to arouse their interest in learning English poems.Before reading the passage,the students should discuss the questions in the part Pre-reading in pairs.The reading passage is about five simple forms of English poems.The teacher can use different teaching strategy to get students understand the characteristics of each form of poem and try to write simple English poems by themselves.
二、教学目标

Get students to learn the useful new words and expressions in the passage.
2. Ability goals能力目标
Develop students’reading ability and let them learn to use some reading strategies such as skimming,scanning and so on.
3. Emotional goals 情感目标
1. Enable the students to know the simple forms of English poems.
2. Develop students’ sense of cooperation.
三、学习者特征分析
通过平时教学测试及课堂观察,现在学生英语总体水平差距很大,其水平分布成以下特点:分化情况较明显,学生之间水平差距较大;学生虽然对英语感兴趣,但学习主动性还有待加强;部分学生未能主动通过多种渠道获取信息。因此,在本堂课的教学中,拟着重训练学生通过多种渠道独立获取信息、分析信息及提取信息的能力。
在本课中,学生可能会遇到由于缺乏英语诗歌的背景知识而对文章深层次理解有一定困难。学生有可能采用自主学习,合作学习,探究学习等策略,独立思考问题,快速阅读课文,同学之间谈论等方式进行有效学习。
学生要有获得新知识的渴望,在心理上做好准备;也能够通过网络、书籍等手段收集相关资料,做好课外知识方面的准备。
