Teaching procedure

Step 1 reciting poems 5’

In this part, students are required to recite famous Chinese poems and English poems; they can recite them together to make better feelings. Later, the teacher will show a poem written by him to arouse students’ interest. The story and the scenery presented in the poem are very familiar with to the students.

雨霁景愈真,

声远知夜深。

凄凄路边树,

踽踽灯下人。

Step 2 good poems appreciation 8’

Since students can hardly recite any English poems, the teacher can lead them to sing little star, to remind them the lyric of songs are kinds of poems. Then, the teacher will lead students to appreciate I have saved the summer on page 14, asking them to circle the rhyme words. And then, students will read but you didn’t together to feel the sadness of the poet. They are required to pay attention to the pattern of the poem at the same time.
