指导思想与理论依据教学背景分析教学内容：

本单元的中心话题是“健康生活”。Using language部分综合训练听说读写的能力，涉及到有关艾滋病的话题。本课时侧重于读写能力的训练。

1.本课旨在帮助学生更多地了解艾滋病，并且让学生知道如何保护自己。更重要的是如何正确对待艾滋病人。

2. 帮助学生会读、会用一些有关健康以及艾滋病的新词汇和表达。

学生情况：心理特征：作为青少年, 学生们很少考虑他们的健康。本单元阅读课文中涉及到如今中国年轻人面临着的一些健康问题。学生们有机会去反思一些与他们相关的健康问题，如：吸烟、感染艾滋病，不良行为等等。其中一些话题可能会挑战传统观念，导致学生在教室中讨论这些问题时，会感到尴尬。

已具备的语言知识和技能水平：在前三个课时的学习之后，学生很好的了解了吸烟有害健康，以及戒烟的一些具体建议。会使用一些有关健康的词汇和“it ”结构句型。

教学目标教学目标：

At the end of the class, students are able to

1. Knowledge aim: read and use some new words and expressions.

Write a persuasive letter about how to treat the people living with AIDS.

2. Ability aim: Train the students’ ability of using language: reading and writing.

3. Emotional aim: Get students to know more about AIDS, and get them to know

what they should do to protect themselves from AIDS and that they should do their best to help the persons living with AIDS.?

教学重点：

1. Train the students’ reading and writing ability.

2. Get students to know how to act towards people who have HIV/AIDS.

教学难点：

1. Guide students to treat the topic honestly and openly.

2. Provide accurate and sensitive information to students so that they don’t put

themselves at risk out of ignorance and so that those who already suffer from

the disease can be seen in a more sympathetic way.?
