As for Senior 2 students, they have the basic ability to read for detailed information and for framework. Besides, they are cultivated to write some sentences even a passage according to what they learn in the class. What’s more, they have learned a little about “global warming” in Book3 Unit4 how life began on the earth. So they know something about the topic.

1. Show pictures of roses in greenhouse and strawberries in greenhouse and ask :why can I get such beautiful flower and fresh fruits in winter ?
2. Watch a video of greenhouse effect and ask :what will happen to the earth if there are too many greenhouse gases?
