Two-way teaching procedures --- teaching activities and students’ activities:

Step 1: Homework check and revision:

= 1 ﹨ GB2 ⑴ . Students are asked to finish the sentences with the correct form of the words given in the brackets.

2. He got up late and hurried to his office, _________ (leave) the breakfast untouched.

3. ________________ (fail) several times, the young scientist still kept on making experiments.

Teacher’s teaching activity:

Teacher helps students get the right answers by explaining the grammar rules or guiding students to think and find out the answers correctly.

= 2 ﹨ GB2 ⑵ . Students are asked to share their sentences with “having done” or “having been done” that they made up the day before as the homework.
