Step 1 Warming up
Warming up by guessing the hero of the story. Show the pictures of the two disabled people: Zhang Haidi and Yangguang. Then let students know that they are broken in body but strong in mind and inspire the students to learn from them.
Step 2 Skimming
Go through the passage quickly and answer the two questions.
1.Who is the hero of the passage? Is he an abled man?
2.Where did the passage come from？
Step3 Scanning
