Step 1 Warm-up
Greetings.
(2)Revision.
First revise the words we have learnt in Period 1.
Then ask the students to talk about the animals with target languages in Period1
Step 2 Presentation.
Grammar Focus
Lead students to read the sentences in the box, and invite some students to read them.
Conclude the grammar with the students
Step 3 Practice.
(1)Teach Activity 3a
Lead students to read through the words in the box to understand their meanings. Then give students several minutes to have a fast reading of the conversation. Complete the conversation with the given words individually. Check the answers first, then ask a pair of students to role-play the conversation.
(2)Have a free talk according to the pictures on the screen using the target languages.
(3)Guessing games.
Let the students guess what animals it is. First do the guessing game on the screen. Then work in pairs.
Step 4 Consolidation.
Do a survey. Ask one student to interview some other students using the target languages, the other students must write down the main details according to the survey if time is enough.
Step 5 Summary
In this period, we’ve learned the use of wh-questions and adjectives in detail. And we’ve done some practice to consolidate the knowledge.
