Teaching steps
Step 1: Warming--up
T: Look at the picture. What’s it?
Ss: It’s a panda.
T: Do you like it?
Ss: Yes.
T: And what other animals do you know? Let’s see.
Show some animals on the PPT, students read them aloud and remember.
Step2:Lead--in
Game1: word competition
Teacher provide papers for the students in each group and ask them to write down words about animals, some description words and countries as much as they can in the limited time.
Exchange the papers and check who writes the most is the winner.
Invite the winner to write down what he has written on the blackboard. Then the whole class read them.
Step3:Presentation
1.Game2:Bingo
students choose words from the blackboard and fill in the “squared up” freely.

Make conversations
According to the word competition and the bingo game, students two in a group make a conversation. They can do it like this:
A: What’s your favourite animals?
B:Koalas.
A:Why do you like them?

A:Where are they from?
B: They’re from Australia. What about you?
A: I like giraffes best.
Guessing game
T: Just now we have talked what animal do we like best. Now this time, let’s guess what’s your partner’s favourite animals. We can guess it by asking questions.
Students two in a group do it. They can ask and answer questions imitating the conversations they have done.
