2. To develop students’ ability of thinking and collecting ideas in limited time;

3. To develop students’ ability of logical thinking by reorder the sentences of a writing passage;

4. To practice students’ ability of making a writing passage better by remembering some key tips on writing.

Teaching methods:

1. Collect ideas about the topic;

2. To use an activity called FAST WRITING to practice students’ ability of collecting as many sentence patterns as possible about the topic.

3. Let students learn the sample writing by reordering the sentences

Activities:

Group work to collect ideas, Fast writing, Reorder

Teaching procedures:

Step I Greetings and lead-in

Step II Language preparation

Activity one: Reviewing some words(individual work)

Give students some pictures related to the writing topic and let students recall some words;

Step III Language using

Activity two: Collecting ideas (group work)

Let students collect some ideas about the topic in groups.

Activity three:Collect some sentence patterns from students by fast writing, which is based on the above two activities.(group work)

Activity four: Reorder (group work)

Activity five: Answer checking (individual work)

Step IV Language output

Homework: Write your own robot within 25 minutes and share the robot you design with your friends.
