Teaching procedures
Step Ⅰ. Greet the whole class as usual
Step Ⅱ. Lead-in
Show the students a cartoon story and inspire them to predict what the story is about and then introduce the two main assignments of this class.
Step Ⅲ. Word and phrase preparation
1.Word Guessing
Encourage the students guess out the target words and phrases which will appear in the story in different concrete situations through a series of pictures. Lead the students to explore and comprehend the meaning and usage of the key words and phrases by describing the pictures.
2.Further Word Understanding
Based on the word guessing, ask the students to finish two exercises: match and replace to check their understanding about the target words and phrases and then help them to deepen their comprehension.

Assignment One
