Step 1. Lead-in
The teacher asks two students to retell the passage “ Old Tom the Killer Whale”.
Purpose: By retelling, the content of the text can be reviewed.
Step 2. Learn about the language points
Task 1. The teacher asks the students use the words “urge, witness, abandon, annual, opposite” to replace the underlined part of each sentence.
