Step 1 Lead-in
Let students enjoy a video about the world under the sea. Ask them a question: What’s your impression of the world under the sea?
Step 2 Reading
Task 1 Read the text quickly and put the paragraph topics in correct order. (on P24)
Task 2 Read the text again and find out what she saw. Then answer the following questions.
1. What did the writer do in the morning on 19th January?
2. What did he think after seeing such extraordinary beauty?
3. Was there anything that made him feel frightened besides the wonderful creatures? What were they?
Task 3 Fill in the blanks according to the text.
