As for the content of the grammar, it includes different conjunctions and “it” as formal object. Actually, to teach all the points in whole class and help Ss to know its usage correctly is a big task.

As for the difficulty of the grammar, Ss are supposed to have learned this grammar both in junior school and Senior One, so Ss must be familiar with the grammar but it is still a bit difficult for them to grasp the usage of conjunctions.

Analysis of the students:

In all, grammar is difficult for Ss to understand. It is hard for them to concentrate on the lesson all the time. So I focus on the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival and design different tasks according to the festival, which I think can arouse their interest.

Moreover, since they are less active and not so effective in grammar, the queations designed are easy to answer in the passage.

Besides, adolescent students are eager to show themselves if the tasks are easy enough and the topic is interesting enough, therefore, I planned an audio directed by a foreigner which is five questions about his curiosity to know something about the Dragon Boat Festival recently to arouse their interest in the topic.

When giving the lesson, the most important is to arouse a majority of students to the lesson. Along the way, teacher should give enough guidance and show more patience.

Teaching goals:

Knowledge:

To know object clause and its conjunctions and sentence order and “it” as formal object and structures along with “it”.

Ability:

Be able to recognize object clauses in the text accurately, know the correct usage of conjunctions.

Be able to write object clauses proficiently.

Be able to cooperate with classmates and finish the task in limited time.

Morality:

Learn the patriotic spirit of Quyuan and spread our culture and customs.
