教学目标

1. To improve the skills of imitation.

2. To train the students to ask questions according to the tips, try to find out the clue of the story.

3. To train the students retell the story according to the notes, using the correct rules and structures.

教学内容

1. Part A of the Computerized Oral Test focuses on the pronunciation, intonation, sense group, speed, stress and so on. Get the students to focuses on these while imitating.

2. Part C of the Computerized Oral Test requires the abilities of predicting, listening and speaking. In this part, the students are required to take as many notes as they can, organize them in a proper way and retell it out.

3. The articles used in the lesson come from the beautiful essays I like and the NCE.

教学设计思路

This lesson focuses on improving the students’ ability of listening, taking notes and retelling. In order to develop the skills of CELST step by step, I divide it into 2 main sections, which contains the skills of imitation and retelling. First, I used a Jazz chant to warm up and to practice their skills of rhythm, after that, I use a small passage to practice the skills of imitation. Based on the passage for imitation, the students will know the sense group is very important in listening and speaking. Second, I use some sentences and a story for them to practice retelling, in this part, the students will first understand the skills of taking notes while listening , the skills of asking and answering questions and the skills of reorganizing the passage according to the notes correctly and completely.
