教学设计:

Step 1. Warming up (3 mins)

Ask Ss to watch a video and answer the following questions:

1. What kind of animal can you see in the video?

2. How did the people in the video feel when they saw the animal?

Step 2. Lead in (1 min)

Set a scene: Suppose Ss are scientists majoring in cloning. Now they are sitting here to attend a seminar to discuss some professional questions.

The topic of the seminar:

Is it possible that we can bring dinosaurs back to life?

What are the conditions if we want to clone an extinct animal?

Step 3. Fast reading (1 mins)

Task 1 Match the main idea with each paragraph.

Para 1 Explain the impossibility of cloning dinosaurs.

Para 2 Tell readrers that t’s just a dream that dinosaurs can be brought back to life.

Para 3 Introduce the topic of the passage.
