学情分析:
Although this unit is about scientific inventions and the stages of an invention, students are interested in the topic because they always keep curious. They are also curious about how to solve the problem of the snakes. This is why they can focus their attention on the story. As Senior Two students, they can say something about this topic, but it is difficult for them to retell the whole story fluently. So I design different reading tasks to improve their reading skills and at the same time, to catch useful information from the text to help them understand and retell the story.
