Show pictures and encourage Ss to tell the inventions from discoveries. And try to definite a discovery and an invention, and find out the connection between them.

An invention is something created by human beings and not existing before.

A discovery is finding out something that has already existed in nature but not yet known.

Connection:Discoveries often lead to inventions while inventions are ofen based on discoveries.

T: There are always some new things like bamboo after rainfall around us,which make our life much easier and convenient and to the people who have made the new things we should show great gratitude.Then,have you ever imagined becoming a creative inventor and solving many problmes distubing us?How can you become an inventor?
