Step 1 Warming-up
Ask a question “How to divide 13 oranges among 9 children?” Which lead to the title of the unit----Inventors and inventions.
Ask students to think what are the four great inventions in ancient China.
Show students some pictures and ask students to describe what is an invention and what is a discovery.
Step 2 Pre-reading
Ask two questions : Are you scared of snakes? What will you do if they are in your courtyard? These two questions will lead to the reading part.
Step3 Reading
