学情分析:在平时的教学中,发现学生的阅读能力较差,失分比较严重。在本节课是一节阅读课,主要是教会学生运用阅读方法和技巧去提高学生的阅读能力。通过运用快速阅读和细读方法来训练学生的阅读能力,包括查找信息,获取信息,转换信息的能力。

内容分析:Unit 3 Using Language Reading 主要是人物介绍。介绍一位发明家的生平和发明电话过程。内容篇幅比较长,句子比较复杂,加大学生的理解难度。

教学步骤:

Step1Pre-reading

1. Pictures of the phone

Who invented telephone?

2. Introduction of Alexander Graham Bell

Bell is known as much of his work for deaf education as for his invention. He became a professor of vocal physiology at Boston University. His job was to help deaf people to understand speaking people and to make themselves understood by learning how to speak. When he invented the telephone, he was testing a method of helping a deaf person to hear.
