The aim is to introduce the play by George ?Bernard Shaw which has the same theme as the Greek story. And it was also made into a film called My Fair Lady.
Introduce a psychological term: Pygmalion effect
The Pygmalion Effect is that people tend to behave as you expect they will.
If you expect a person to take responsibility, they probably will. If you expect them not to even try, they probably won’t.
Step2: Pre-reading:
The myth and the play has the same theme.
Step3. Reading
Enjoy the movie’s act one.

Task1. Skimming
1.the main characters:
The aim is to have the students know the main characters of the play.
Suppose you are Professor Higgins. Find out all the incorrect/improper use of Eliza’s words. Try to correct all of them in terms of grammar, spelling, etc, so that she can use them properly.
