Step I Leading in
Give students some proverbs with “it” to lead in. Arouse their interest and enthusiasm in study of the usage of “it”.
① It is never too old to learn.
② It is easier to fall than to rise.
③ It is no use crying over spilt milk.
④ It never rains but it pours.
Step 2 Discussion
Let students discuss and then summarize the usage of “it” from the Ex1 in Unit 3 of Book 6. The teacher help students get the usage of “it” by raising questions.
Step3 Learning the usage of “it”
Through the above discussion, teacher leads students to think about problems and then conclude and sum up, making students know and master the usage of “it” .

4. it作强调句型 (used for emphasis)
