教学目的:
知识目的与技能:1.getting the students to get to know new words and expressions in the unit.
2 .getting the students to get familiar with the structure of description and analyze the structure of this passage.
过程与方法:getting the students to learn how to organize the structure of passage on introducing a place .
情感与态度:getting the students to get to know the differences between traditional parks and theme parks and master some knowledge on theme parks mentioned in the text .
教学重点:learning how to analyze the structure of description by reading and writing .
教学难点:learning how to organize the passage by mastering the key points ---clue
教学过程:
Step I:lead-in
Teacher : leading the students to deal with exercises on the task-based reading to analyze the structure of description .
Students: analyzing the structure of the passage individually and check up the keys on exercises.
Teacher : help the students to check up the keys and sum up the structure of description.
(设计意图:通过学生训练,有已知知识复习巩固说明文的结构问题,同时为今天所授内容奠定基础)
Step II:presenting the new contents :
Step A : warming-up “getting to know the definition of theme parks
Teacher : showing ppt. to ask the students to analyze the kinds of parks : traditional parks and theme parks
Students :analyzing what the teacher asks them to by discussing and cooperating in groups of four .
Summary : 1. What is the traditional park ? A park where one can enjoy the natural scenery in a peaceful environment with trees , flowers ,water and bridges etc.
2.what is the theme park ? A park with a theme which is about food , culture , science , cartoons , movies or history and so on .
(设计意图:让学生通过观察图片了解公园的分类,有原有知识的分析也有新授知识的介入—主题公园的概念,形成对知识的全新认识)
Step B : (reading): skimming the text and answering the questions
Teacher :asking the students to analyze the structure of the passage and make sure how many theme parks are mentioned in the passage .
Students : doing as they are told
