学情分析：
本篇阅读是皮格马利翁戏剧的第二幕，学生已对这个戏剧有所了解，各项语言活动都是围绕剧本情节展开的。学生好奇心强，求知欲旺盛，喜欢追求戏剧情节，学习激情高，读起来意兴盎然。但是，由于学生英语水平层次不齐，有少部分学生基础差，词汇量小，阅读水平低，听说能力差，而且学习态度不积极，这就要求教师在教学过程中充分调动学生的学习积极性，培养全体学生的参与意识，让他们成为学习的主人，肯定学到的知识，从中领略收获的喜悦，促使他们对剧本的主题有更加深刻的了解。

(2) Understand each character’s individual characteristics, mentality and different cultural background.
