Grammar learning

A.直接宾语和间接宾语: 有时有些及物动词要求有两个宾语: 直接宾语(The Direct Object)和间接宾语(The Indirect Object), 称之为双宾语。这两个宾语往往一个指物, 一个指人。直接宾语一般代表事物, 而间接宾语一般代表人。常见的这类动词有：give, show, send, bring, read, lend, leave, hand, tell, write, pay, throw, wish, teach, deny 等。如：

Show me your new dictionary.

She reads her mother the letter.

The Grandpa often tells his grandson old stories.

由于种种原因, 间接宾语亦可置于直接宾语之后, 其前一般需用介词to或for。如：

1. He bought me these flowers.

=He bought these flowers for me.

2. I gave him a watch.

=I gave a watch to him.

3. He handed his son a book.

=He handed a book to his son.

常需借助 to 的: bring, give, lend, hand, offer, pass, pay, promise, read, return, send, show, teach, tell, ask, leave, mail, throw, take, write 等。

常需借助 for 的: build, buy, call, change, cook, choose, do, draw, envy, fetch, find, forgive, gain, get, make, order, play(演奏), sing, save, spare, win 等。
