The students can use the knowledge of pollination to judge the flowers’ pollinators

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 : Lead- in

show the students’a short video of flowers and pollination and arouse the students’ interest to watch it carefully

Step 2: Warming up

Question: what did you see in the video ?

Can you tell the name of the pollinators ?

(by showing the students’ some pictures of pollinators : bee ,fly, wasp, hummingbird

butterfly, moth, bat, beetle )

Focus: to arouse the students’ interest in pollinators

Step 3: Pre-reading

Glance at the title and predict the text

Focus: ①students can get some information on main pollinators in nature.

②students can make predictions after observing the title carefully.

Step 4: While reading

Part 1 : Fast reading:

Read the text quickly and find the structure of the passage.

Three paragraphs: some knowledge about flowers and their animal pollinators

Pictures: show different kinds of animal pollinators and their flowers
