Teaching procedures
Step 1 Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual, encourage them to speak English as often as possible.
Step 2. leading-in
Ask them some questions that they often have when learning English, such as: Do you want to speak good and fluent English? Do you think vocabulary is important in English study? Students like to answer these questions and start to join the class.
Step 3. Presentation Different ways of vocabulary teaching
1）.Word chain （Round1）
The teacher give the first word , students make words after it one by one .the first letter of each word should have the same pronunciation as the previous word.
Round2
Give students one minute to prepare the word from unit 3,and then ask some of them to try to act the word chain . For example:
boyhood→ dessert→ Tom → manner
2）. (word card单词卡)
Role-play
1.Each group choose one student as its leader to play the game.
2.Choose the words, and they should know each other’s word clearly in order to play it better.
3.They can begin the game with
