Teaching procedure:
Step one: Lead in
1．To help the Ss to know the meaning of subject. The Ss will be asked to share their preview work: answering the three questions concerning some basics of subject.
2．To find out subjects in the sentences.
3. To sum up what can function as subjects in English sentences.
Step two: Practice
Ask students to translate some quotations. Pay attention to the usage of subject.
Do the matching work.
Finish a blank filing to consolidate the comprehensive knowledge of subject.
Step three: Apply
Ask students to appreciate a poem with the help of their knowledge of subject.
Step four: Create
Ask students to write an essay by themselves. Remember to vary the forms of the subject.
