Step I:Lead in
Video watching:A video about Australia is played to the students, and the students guess what country will be talked about.
Purpose: Set a meaningful situation for the students. They will be given a meaningful task that they must make decision on whether they will go travelling in Australia in summer holiday.
Step II:Warming-up

Before the class students are required to do some research on the famous attractions in Australia and mark these places on the map.
In class one student is invited to make a report in class.
Purpose: Leaning before class is the important part of study, especially for reading. By doing research before class they will get some idea about the topic and predict the passage, which will make reading passage easier to understand.
Step III:Pre-reading
The students are required to glance quickly at the five texts on Page21-23, and answer 2 questions on the learning plan.
