人教2003课标版《Learning about Language》新课标教案优质课下载
本课的授课对象是高三学生,本班学生英语基础较为扎实,学习态度较为认真,不过学生的英语基础存在个体差异,但整体上经过高中两年的英语学习,已经具备一定的学习词汇和语法基础。但选修9相对其他几本书来说难度增加,因此如何熟悉并运用本单元词汇和语法需要具体指导和练习。
Teaching Objectives:
1. Language objectives:
1). Discover and understand useful words and expressions in the passage. The following words are important: background, nation. Citizens, tolerance, Aboriginal, homeland, migrant, adequate, snow, hardship, bachelor, correspond, owe.
2). Grasp what can function as predicative and apply this grammar into the daily use of English.
2. Ability objectives:
Students can use the learned words freely after learning some useful ways to memorize new words. Student can also analyze the grammar features and generalize the rules of the predicative and predicative clauses.
Important points:
1. How to memorize and use the new words and phrases freely.
2. How to help students generalize the rules of the grammar;
3. Inspire and guide students to write a poem by using predicative or predicative clauses

Teaching procedure
Step1. Introduce three ways to help learn new words and expressions.

Naturally lead in the learning task and it is designed to arouse Ss’ interest; Ss will be aware of a new way to learn and use words and expressions.Ss practice guessing meaning from the context and share their definitions with others.Show a passage with underlined new words. Step2. Application
