Teaching procedures
Activity 1. a video viewing
Ss will be shown a nice video about Australia and try their best to remember as much information as possible and write them down the paper and one of the group members will stick it to the blackboard and share with us their information. within 10mins
Activity 2. Thinking and cooperation
Ss read the passage and fill in the blanks with the words in the form, and discuss their work with their partners. After that, Ss will be shown a video with the correct answers ,check the answers and read it together. within 7mins
Activity 3. Guessing, discussion and exploration
Ss will be given 2mins to listen to the video, and try to guess the meaning of the key words and analyze the difficult sentences and discuss with their group members; write their answers on the columns. After that, Ss will be given 3 mins to refer to their dictionary for the correct meaning and try to remember them. within 10mins
Activity 4. Consolidation of the key words
Ss use weici app to do some practice about the key words and revise the words in order to master them. within 3 mins
Activity 5. Association and cooperation
Ss will be given 3 mins to think about as many related words as possible and use them to draw a mind map and share it with all the classmates through wechat. with 7mins
Activity 6. Conclusion
Ss try to use one sentence to conclude what they have learnt today.within2 mins
Homework
Write a composition about information of Australia using the seven key words(migrants, adequate, sow, hardships, bachelors, correspond, owe ).
