① knowledge target: be familiar with the topic of emotions
② skill targets: 1. know how to make full use of context to find out the correct answers
2. master 3 skills to choose the right answers, such as word recurrence, logical relationship and grammar rules
③ emotion and moral targets:
1. be aware of influence of optimism
2. build up their confidence of working out a cloze
(3) Teaching focus & difficulties:
how to find out the correct answers by using context and 3 skills--- word recurrence, logical relationship and grammar rules and how to put what they have learned into practice
2. The analysis of the Ss:
(1) They have the interest, the enthusiasm and the ability to learn how to get higher scores in cloze part in all exams.
(2) They have some relative skills, but they cannot master them systematically.
